This is a critical response to an essay written by Margot Lovejoy that can be found here. Critical Response Margot Lovejoy's Digital Currents, Art in The Electronic Age is an inspiring read, although tackles issues discussed in great detail in many recent essays, Lovejoy's approach is both direct and convincing. When reading through Lovejoy's ideology of the public's non-exist traditional views we can't help but compare it to many ideas brought across since the internet age, for example, Lovejoy deems that if the Revolution was to come around again then the situation would be handled in a less threatening way, this remind us of desensitization of our reactive emotions through repetitive viewing of shocking imagery on the internet, an idea that perhaps Lovejoy had not expected, but definitely something that has become relevant to her writing.
